I have a brand new sweet baby nephew as of June 25, 2009. The little guy weighed 7lbs. 3oz. and was 20in. long. Kohler arrived at 6:44pm. Congratulations to my little sister Breck, her hubby Ryan and big sister Hadley. Oh my goodness it was so good to hold a brand new bundle again!! He is so perfect! And those cute little feet! I couldn't resist a close up! I seriously could eat him up! Wonder if they would notice if I took him home with me??? Hummmm.....

Employee of The Year
On May 21 my sweet mom was presented the prestigous award of "Contract Employee of the Year" for the Cache County School District. When the big wigs from the district came to her school to tell her she had been nominated for the award she thought that she had done something wrong because the higher up's don't just show up for random visits. She told me that she got really emotional and was so flattered by the nomination. What an honor! My mom has been working in the lunch room at Mountain Crest for several years and really enjoys her job as manager. She is an incredible "boss" to her "ladies" and I know she takes really good care of them. She gets up really early in the morning to be to work to get the day's menu ready for all the high school kids. And then after she gets off work she plays Grandma/babysitter for all the grandkids. She sacrifices a lot and is such a great role model. I love and appreciate you so much, mom. Thank you for all that you have done for me and my family. You will never know how much this means to me. I couldn't do it without you. You deserve the award for "Mom and Grandma of the Year" as well.

Courtney & Hadley's Dance Recital
May 20th was Courtney and Hadley's Dance Recital and both girls did so well!! Courtney has turned out to be quite the little dancer! She loves performing for everyone and even received an award for 100% attendance. I am so proud of her!! I'm also very grateful for a very patient and talented dance teacher who does such a great job teaching the art of dance. Thank you Angie!!!

Happy Birthday Love!
I thought I would post about a recent event instead of trying to catch up on the last couple months. (Still lots more to come!)
Sunday, along with Father's Day was my sweet husbands birthday. We spent the day together and had a BBQ at Mom & Dad's house and had cake and Creamies. Clay loves German Chocolate Cake so he was pretty happy! Wes even came and spent the afternoon with us!! It was so good to see him. The only bummer was that Conner and Courtney weren't there. I was thrilled that he was actually home on his b-day this year, last year he was in Texas.
I love you babe!!! I hope you had a wonderful birthday!! You mean the world to me!!!

Homemade Strawberry Freezer Jam
Look what I did on Mother's Day! My first attempt at homemade strawberry freezer jam!! I don't know where this spurt of ambition came from but I decided to roll with it. I had 15 cups of strawberries after I got them all blended up, which worked out to be 7 batches! After being on my feet most of the evening I decided I was a bit crazy! Although it's been a huge hit after sharing with my sisters and mom and my freezer is full! I won't have to tackle this adventure for a while!! And it feels good to be domestic!

Parent Picnic
On May 8th all of the parents were invited to eat lunch outside with the kids for a Parent Picnic and I made sure I was there. I love having these opportunities to spend time with my kids and take part in their school activities when I can. The playground was a zoo with kids of every age! Good times!!!

Baby Animal Days
Back on April 24, I was lucky enough to join Courtney and her Kindergarten class and visit Baby Animal Days at the American West Heritage Center for a field trip. I loved being able to be there with Courtney and help Mrs. Tyger with a couple of the kids. She had assigned me three girls to keep track of and I had a blast with Courtney and two of her little friends. We saw baby ducks, geese, goats, pigs, cows, a peacock, lambs, horses and bunnies!! I had never been to Baby Animal Days so it was as much an adventure for me as it was for the kids. We all had such a great time!

My Poor Neglected Blog...
Ok, ok, I have heard the complaints at my lack of posting. I have soooooo many things to blog about but I either don't have the time or quite frankly I just haven't been in the mood. Needless to say, I will start to play catch up on all of the "events" in the last couple of months.
First off, my kids had their SEP conferences, let's see, way back in March. (Sad that I'm just blogging about this now that school is out. I'm such a slacker!!) I had a couple of great meetings with the kids' teachers. Conner has started improving his grades and you can really tell he is trying. He has had some struggles the past couple of years and I'm hoping that things will keep improving. His teacher, Mr. Allen, is so patient and encouraging for Conner and I know that he has made a positive impact on his life. I am so proud of you son!
Then we move on to Courtney. My little school lover! I don't think she has ever looked forward to the weekends because she misses Mrs. Tyger so much and she can't wait to get back to school on Monday. Courtney is filling her little brain full of Kindergarten knowledge and is doing fantastic! Mrs. Tyger informed me that Courtney is Little Miss Popular and all of the kids in class fight to see who gets to sit next to her. It made me laugh. After the conferences we went to the Book Fair and the librarian tells me the same thing! Courtney is quite the social butterfly and everyone loves her! I couldn't be prouder of my two smart kiddos!! I love you both so very much!
