I have been feverishly working on my "homemade"raffle items for my family reunion! And I finally got them all accomplished! I made two pencil boxes, a set of note cards, an advent calendar, a basket of scrapbook stuff and a plastic box with all sorts of hair items for little girls, clips, multi colored elastics and ribbons! I am looking forward to seeing everyone!! I love this yearly tradition!

Kindergarten Program
Another post from a while ago... (I'm almost caught up!)
On May 28th, Courtney had her Kindergarten Program at the school where the parents were invited to attend. It was so cute to watch all of the little Kindergarteners sing all of their songs that they had practiced throughout the school year. Courtney still sings the songs all the time and is so proud of herself. Too cute!!!

Look Mom NO Wheels...
Training wheels that is. We have been trying to get Courtney convinced that we needed to remove the training wheels from her bike, but she didn't think it was a good idea. Then over Memorial weekend SHE decided that it was ok if we took them off. Well.... she said, "I guess you can take my training wheels off, if you HAVE to". I think she got tired of Clay calling her a "wussy girl". LOL. So that was it, Clay removed the training wheels and... she was off, just like that!! Riding on two wheels with no help! Easy as pie! What a crazy girl? Now I can't keep her off her bike, she loves it! Other than she would rather ride down the street than the sidewalk!!

Parade of Homes
I've vowed never to blog about work. But considering I spend as much time there as I do at home, I figured it was blog worthy. Besides, I can have a little bragging rights too, right? As many of you know, I work for a construction company in Logan, actually two different companies. One that builds custom homes and the other company builds "production" homes. This is the home that we featured in this years Parade of Homes which is now one of 2 model homes that we show. We are focusing more on "First Time Home Buyers" a lot more and have several different floor plans that are affordable for these clients. We have been crazy busy this year and feel we are so lucky to have the jobs that we do considering the state of the economy. Luckily the $8,000 tax incentive has created a push for a lot of people to finally own homes instead of renting. I have met so many great people and made lasting relationships with a lot of our homeowners and subcontractors as well as my amazing, talented co-workers. I have learned so much about the building industry and love everything about it!

Father's Day
In my attempt to try to stay caught up with my blogging... I'm finally getting around to posting about Father's Day. We had a great day in conjuction with Clay's birthday, we enjoyed a cookout at my mom and dad's house and afterward we went over to the nursing home to visit with Clay's dad. We try to get over to see him as often as possible but I know it's not enough. He enjoys seeing us and visiting about what has been going on in our lives. He ALWAYS asks about the kids and we chat about all sorts of things. I know he was really excited to see that Wes was with us for our visit. Wes is his only grandchild and it's an added bonus to have my kids as step-grandchildren. Good times!!!

The "Grand Marshall"
My wonderful dad was given the award this year to be the Grand Marshall for the 4th of July parade in Hyrum. He was presented with his plaque and badge at the Patriotic Program on Sunday night June 28th. It was quite a trick to get him there! We had to make him believe that Courtney and Hadley were dancing for the program to get him to go. And even still he was fighting us and didn't think he really wanted to go. The program started at 7:00 and he goes to bed around 8ish to be up to go to work in the morning. Mom managed to get him to go and once he was there I would have thought that he had figured it out considering neither Courtney or Hadley were even there. Luckily, we pulled it off!! Congratulations Dad!!! I'm so proud of you!! What an honor??

Peonies
One of the added bonuses that came with our house when we bought it are these beautiful hot pink peonies that bloom in late May through early June. Unfortunately, this year because of all the rain that we received, my peonies were beaten and didn't get quite as pretty as they have in the past. Regardless, I so look forward to their brightly colored flowers each year which remind me of my sweet grandma every season. She was so talented in growing flowers and plants of every variety.

Toothless Smile
She's toothless! Court finally lost one of her front teeth. I honestly thought it would be the other tooth first, even though I'm sure it's not to far behind. Now those big, awkward big permanent front teeth are going to be here before we know it! Poor thing! It takes them forever to grow into those big things! I had to get some photos of her beautiful toothless smile! :) Luckily, as always, Courtney is very cooperative!!
