Pinkalicious Party
For Courtney's 7th Birthday I threw her a party for her and her friends! We invited all the girls in her 1st grade class and a few classmates from Kindergarten, her dance buddy and of course cousins, Hadley and Kenzlie. I decided to use the cute story "Pinkalicious" as the theme and based the party around the book. I decorated the dining room with pink balloons and tulle and I asked all of the girls to come to the party wearing pink. We colored "Pinkalicious" pictures, decorated pink cupcakes with pink frosting. Read the story "Pinkalicious" and then opened presents. We had so much fun and I was so glad that so many of her sweet friends came to support her. Courtney is such a little social butterfly and loves her "girlfriends". Happy Birthday Pinkalicious girl!

"Responsibility Awards Assembly"
A couple weeks ago, Courtney received a special "Responsibility" award at an assembly in school. She was so excited and proud to be chosen for this recognition! I was just as proud to be able to see her be presented with the award! Courtney is such a good kid and I'm so excited to see her grow and learn. She is doing so well in school, has lots of friends and enjoys being there! Great job Courtney!!

I Choose To Be Happy
"I can't choose what someone else says or does.
I can only choose my actions and how I react to theirs.
I choose whether or not I give someone the power to affect me, to control me.
It's my choice to choose to be happy or sad.
I choose how I look at the world.
Bad things happen to good people.
Others make choices that affect me.
How I react to all that is my choice!
And I choose to be happy!"
