Call me crazy, I really don't care. OCD? Maybe, but one of the many routines of my day is to set out the kids' clothes for the next day. Our mornings go so much smoother if this is done the night before. It eliminates any drama in the morning and everyone is happier, especially me. I even try to do this with my own clothes and jewelry and life is just better because I do. I'm so not a morning person so anything to keep smiles on everyones faces works for me! Give it a try, it just might be one of your new routines.

7 going on 17
Courtney got these press on nails for Christmas and she has been begging me to wear them. So I finally gave in and here are the results...
She really does have pretty hands...
7 going on 17 I tell ya! I still love having a girl! Even with the drama! ;)

Little Bookworm
The other night I found Courtney in her room reading the book she got for Christmas. I'm so glad that she has a love for reading like her mommy and brother. AND it's an added bonus that she's reading one of my most favorite books from my childhood. I remember begging my mom for the book at the Book Fair at school and only wanting the book because I thought the picture of Ramona on the front cover was the cutest ever! Luckily, the book was a great read and I read almost all the books written by Beverly Cleary. I found my old copy of Ramona Quimby, Age 8 the other day and told Courtney how it was my favorite! Love nostalgia! :)

Farm Boy
Conner has been working for Paul Parker's Dairy Farm for several months. Every day after school he goes and helps feed and milk the cows. He looks forward to going to "work" everyday and has learned so much about earning money and being responsible. It has been so good for his self confidence and I am so proud of him. He pays attention more to how much things cost and really wants to purchase a cow of his own. He has saved over $200, which is pretty impressive for a 12 year old. I hope that you continue this great work ethic and enjoy every moment!!
I snapped these photos one day as he was coming out of the "Milk House"
What a handsome young man?? Love you sweet boy!

My Favorite Day
Yep, my most favorite day of the week is Tuesday. Why Tuesday? For lots of reasons, Monday is over, the week is on the move and more importantly it's when my kids come home!!! I can't wait to get off work so I can see their little faces and welcome them home! I love hearing that they missed me and they look forward to Tuesday as much as I do. Their hugs are the best and our home isn't the same without them. These two are the light of my life! Tuesday is a great day!!!! :)

Upgrade
As many of you know my cell phone is ALWAYS with me! I even sleep with the darn thing! When you have a husband that travels the United States, my phone is more of a lifeline. I don't know what I would do without it. I have had this old Blackberry for just about 4 years and it's seen it's better day! If it wasn't for the rubber case I wouldn't be able to keep the cover over the battery. Yikes! Needless to say it was time for an upgrade...
Goodbye Blackberry :(
Hello iPhone!!! :)

A Home Lunch
One of my goals for 2011 is to take more photos. Photos of the everday, mundane things that make up our lives, who we are, the things we do, and then hopefully document them and put them into a scrapbook. So you may see some strange posts from me this year of these random photos. But like I said, it is who I am and part of my everyday life. Here goes...
Ever since I started working at my new job I have made a point to bring a lunch from home everyday. One item on an ever growing list of ways I could cut back. Every little bit helps. This is a new routine for me. I bought this cute little insulated lunch bag at Old Navy a while ago and have put it to good use!

What a kid??
I got the camera out and of course Courtney went into modeling mode! I love that she likes her picture taken and will pose for me and smile that beautiful smile for me to capture forever! (I know it won't last, so I enjoy it when I can.) This girl is so much fun and has been saying some of the funniest things lately. I posted a few of them on Facebook but I need to blog them as well:
One night Courtney came into our bedroom and was acting all stressed out and said with a sigh.. "Mom, I have a crush crisis! I'm in love with two boys!" WHAT???? Needless to say we got the giggles.
Me: "Court, what's the name of the boy that you like?"
Court: "You mean my true love?"
Wow! She is way too young to think that she has already found her true love! LOL
Last week she woke up with a swollen eye and said, "What? I have bags under my eyes!! Bags are supposed to be cute accessories not things attached to my face!!!" Never a dull moment when this little ham is around!
I love you Courtney!!
