We needed to make a trip to Las Vegas, so we decided to make the best of it and we planned our first real family vacation road trip. We left on a Thursday morning in April and made our way to St. George. First stop was in Orem, so I could stop at Archiver's. Then we had lunch at In-N-Out which Conner was so excited about!
The sky was so pretty on our way south.
Once we arrived in St. George, got settled in our room, watched American Idol, then walked over to Panda Express and got some dinner.
On Friday morning we headed south to Vegas.
Hello Las Vegas!!
Clay dropped the kids and I off at Caesar's Palace and we wandered around there for a while...
Shopped at H&M for the first time, Courtney was in heaven! She loved all the accessories! Must me my girl.
We watched the water show at the Bellagio, my most favorite place on the strip. I could have stood there all day! :)
Clay finally came and picked us up later in the afternoon. We were all exhausted! It was quite warm in Vegas! :) We promised Conner that we would stop at Bass Pro Shop and Clay found a little scoot that he wished could have went home with us. ;)
The only thing Conner wanted while we were there was this Fly Fishing magazine that he had been searching for for weeks! He was on Cloud 9! So easy to please (most of the time). Just outside of Bass Pro Shop there was a Mermaid aquarium that was pretty awesome, I was quite facinated, the mermaids looked pretty real! LOL Then we had the buffet at the Silverton Casino which was a perfect way to finish our day in Vegas.
Saturday, Clay and the kids swam at the hotel pool for a while and then we went to the mall.
Had some lunch at Five Guys, Clay's favorite.
We spent the afternoon at the Fiesta Fun park with unlimited passes for everyone. We had the best time!!!
We played a round of Miniture Golf, rode on the water boats (laughed my butt off), drove the Go Carts, played Arcade games and air hockey. It was well worth every dime we spent there! :)
We had dinner at Iciban which was different but really quite good. It was fun to try new things. I couldn't resist stopping by The Sweet Tooth Fairy for a tasty treat! Conner and Clay picked a German Chocolate cupcake, Courtney chose a sucker and I had a sugar cookie! I love this place, it has the coolest atmosphere and it's fun to look at the pretty treats.
All sorts of delicious goodness!
Sunday we made our way back home and hit In-N-Out again, finished the trip how it started. Oh, and Courtney lost her tooth on the way home! We had a wonderful time and I can't wait to plan another getaway soon!!!
