It's been way too long since my last post. Today is the 1st of May, a new month and another fresh start. April was a rough month and I'm looking forward to see what May brings. We woke up to snow this morning and I had to crank up the furnace, it was a bit chilly! I have still been working on Project Life and loving it! Hoping to be able to work on it this weekend in celebration of National Scrapbook day. :) We finally replaced our dishwasher after about 2 years without having a functioning one, it's still so weird to load a dishwasher. Dad and Clay installed it a couple of weeks ago, so nice to have handy men around. Had my car in the shop a couple of times and still need to take it back, more than a little frustrated about it but looking forward to not seeing my "Service Engine Soon" light on my dash anymore. Trying to look on the bright side. I took Clay's pickup in this morning for a new windshield, so he should be able to see a little clearer. ;) Now just got to get the 5th wheel hitch installed and we will be ready for the summer! Wait, still need to get a new battery for the 4-wheeler and get it registered and then we will be ready! LOL It feels good to get some things crossed off my list.
Clay and I bought new bikes last weekend and I am so excited to be able to join the kids on rides and hoping to plan some rides as a family. We mowed the law and did some yard work last weekend, it was so nice to be outside! Conner mowed while Clay and I detailed our vehicles. Then, later we cooked hamburgers out on the grill for the first time this year! It was the perfect weekend and an added bonus that the kids were with us! I love being together as a family! Sunday we celebrated my dad's 76th birthday by having dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Dad was such a good sport and rode the saddle! It was awesome!! We had a wonderful time! We are looking forward to school getting out for the summer but working hard on homework in the meantime, planning a fun summer vacation and of course some camping trips. I love being in the mountains and relaxing! There's nothing better!! This summer I am in charge of our annual Johnson Family Reunion and I am so excited for it! I've got some fun ideas and I can't wait to see everyone! Lots to do to get ready!
