Home for the Holidays

I wanted to post some of our Christmas decorations throughout our home, so I thought it best to start with the tree. This is a new tree this year, I finally broke down and got a pre-lit tree and I think it's one of the best things that I have done. It was up in moments and I'm sure that my mom was thankful that she didn't have to hang the lights. As many of you know, my tree is all decorated with Cow ornaments. My collection has grown for many years and it is so fun to pull the ornaments out every Christmas and see them again. I forget how many I actually have. I love the mood that the tree brings to our home. It feels cozy and warm and starts this feeling of excitement as Christmas gets closer and the gifts are slowly wrapped and placed beneath it. I have to admit I haven't really felt the peaceful excitement and happiness as much this year. I'm hoping that I will get the feeling soon. I'm missing it.

Besides the Advent calendar that I made this year, our other countdown to Christmas is our Santa that sits in the window sill above the sink that is Courtney's job to change the numbers. It's her favorite thing to do every day and she never forgets.
