Happy Thanksgiving

We had a great day today!! My sisters and their families all had the big feast at my mom and dads house. The food was delicious! We all had full bellies and planned our "Black Friday" shopping adventure.

A note from...

Another project that I have been working on. These note cards were made for a brand new bishop and he requsted them so that he could write notes to the youth in his ward. What a great idea! I was so excited when I found the perfect paper for them!

1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Cook to softball stage, remove from heat and add 1 tsp. baking soda. Mix well. Pour over popped popcorn in paper grocery sack. Stir well. Fold top of bag and put in microwave for 2 minutes. Tear sack open and lay out flat. Break apart and let cool. Put in large bowl. Enjoy!!

Dress Up, Part 2

Over the weekend there was a new addition to the dressed up stuffed animals. This girl cracks me up! I'm not sure where she comes up with the funky combinations of outfits but oh my goodness it's too cute!! Thank goodness we have a lot of doll clothes.

Dress Up

This is how I find Courtney's stuffed animals. All dressed up! She is such a character, she doesn't dress her dolls in clothes, just the stuffed animals. So needless to say there's a bunch of naked dolls and a very well dressed hippo and several dogs. She sleeps with them every night and when we make the bed they all have to be arranged on the bed waiting for her. Notice the shoes and bows in their ears. Some of them are lucky enough to wear a bracelet around their neck. She is such a silly girl!

Feeling Pretty Lucky

This is what I got for my birthday from my sweet husband. When I attended my Photography Workshop and was 2 out of 20 people without a laptop and felt like a total loser, I knew exactly what I wanted for my birthday. By coincidence that Sunday, this Dell Netbook laptop was on QVC for a super good deal AND it came with Photoshop Elements. (Yes, I am a QVC junkie) I didn't actually get my laptop until a couple weeks ago, but it has been used a ton!! Facebooking, blogging and surfing the web and the occasional game of Solitare. I am definately feeling pretty lucky.

Halloween Weekend

We started out our Halloween weekend on Friday night with Pumpkin Pizza from Papa Murphys.

Then we carved pumpkins...
On Saturday I made sugar cookies most of the afternoon...

Then some of the cutest trick or treaters arrived...
Jensyn the Frog

Kenzlie the Clown

Kohler the Skunk

and Hadley the Elephant.

This was the first Halloween without my kids since my divorce, which was really hard, but luckily they stopped by for a trick and a treat! Made my night!!
Courtney the Cat

Conner as "Jason"

After the kids left Saturday night, Clay took me out for dinner at Chilis. On Sunday it was my turn to make dinner for my parents and sisters and their families. I made a couple different kinds of soup and we ate them in these cute pumpkin bread bowls I found at Macey's. Delicious!!! Glad my turn is over for a few weeks. What's for dinner tomorrow Breck?? I also got all of the Halloween stuff put away on Sunday and decorated for Thanksgiving. I love the holiday season!
